The main part of the present Woodstock Inn was built in 1969. Over the past 50-plus years, it has gone through several renovations and additions.
Prior to the current Woodstock Inn being built, several hostelries have occupied this general site since the late 1700s, including a large, elegant Victorian-style Woodstock Inn that was built in the 1890s. This Victorian-style inn had four stories, a turret, and over 100 guest rooms.
